Fat freezing: liposuction but without surgical operations
Video bekijken
With liposuction, subcutaneous fat tissue is removed with a suction cannula using a surgical technique. This process requires a cut in the skin. Through this cut, the fat layer is then filled with a liquid consisting of physiological salt and a local anaesthetic. Most liposuction procedures are performed under general anesthesia.
In addition, there is a recovery time of at least 4 weeks. After the procedure, the patient cannot immediately continue with daily activities and it takes a few days to recover from the procedure. With fat freezing this is all not needed, but it is just as effective. In addition, fat freezing is also a cheaper way of fat removal than liposuction.
